Parking with an I-Card
Employees with I-Card Heading link
To ease the burden for those faculty/staff/student employees who must remain on campus and normally rely on public transportation but now desire to drive, UIC will offer free parking in certain parking lots until June 30, 2020. Users will need to provide their valid UIC i-card to allow access without paying. Employees who choose to park in any other lot will be charged the variable rate.
If you have a parking assignment and choose to cancel during this period, you will not be able to return to the parking program in your previous lot and you will lose any assignment and/or waitlist priority.
The Harrison Street Parking Structure shuttle will NOT be available during this period. Please relocate to the Paulina Street Parking Structure.
Free parking will be allowed at the following visitor lots, which have current capacity:
East Campus
- Harrison Street Parking Structure, 1100 W. Harrison Street
- Halsted Street Parking Structure, 760 W. Taylor Street
- Lot 1B, 1139 W. Harrison Street
- Lot 5, 1135 S. Morgan Street
West Campus
- Paulina Street Parking Structure, 915 S. Paulina Street

Payroll Deductions Heading link
In order to coincide with Governor Pritzker’s extension of the Stay at Home Order, which will last until May 31, 2020, UIC is immediately suspending payroll deduction of university parking fees for the months of April, May, and June. As a result, you will not see any parking charges on your next paycheck.
Employees who Paid in Advance for a Semester or Annual Assignment Heading link
If you will be purchasing a parking assignment for the upcoming Summer or Fall semester, please notify the Parking Office staff at the time of that purchase, a credit for the month of April will be applied towards the semester fee.
If you are not returning to campus this semester, or the upcoming Summer/Fall semester, send an e-mail notifying us at parking@uic.edu that you wish to cancel your parking assignment. Because we do not have physical access to the files with payment receipts, please include the following in your email:
